Sometimes the work gets away from you. That is the case here. I was interested in creating a lightning sketch drawn animation along the lines of what I have done in some of my chalk board pieces. Lightning sketch artists were some of the earliest commercial animators. Working in vaudeville during the early part of the 20th century their act consisted of rapidly modified drawings on an easel pad which transformed before the audience’s eyes. That was my intention in this piece, but more often than I would like to admit I end up failing in myself in the execution of the work. So this ends up as a study instead of a finished piece and I will try to implement the lessons of this failure in version 2.0.
